Comparison of arterial wall models in fluid–structure interaction simulations

چکیده
Abstract Monolithic fluid–structure interaction (FSI) of blood flow with arterial walls is considered, making use sophisticated nonlinear wall models. These incorporate the effects almost incompressibility as well anisotropy caused by embedded collagen fibers. In literature, relatively simple structural models such Neo-Hooke are often considered for FSI walls. Such lack, both, and incompressibility. this paper, numerical simulations idealized heart beats in a curved benchmark geometry, using models, compared: we consider three different incompressible, anisotropic reference and, comparison, simple, isotropic model four parameter sets. Presentation of a Non-invasive Method of Estimating Arterial Stiffness by Modeling Blood Flow and Arterial Wall Based on the Determination of Elastic Module of Arterial Wall
Introduction: Arterial stiffness is an important predictor of cardiovascular risk. Several indices have been introduced to estimate the arterial stiffness based on the changes in the brachial blood pressure. Since the substitution of the blood pressure changes in the central arteries such as carotid with the blood pressure changes in the brachial results in error in the blood...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...
15 صفحه اولViscoelastic Models for Passive Arterial Wall Dynamics
This paper compares two models predicting elastic and viscoelastic properties of large arteries. Models compared include a Kelvin (standard linear) model and an extended 2-term exponential linear viscoelastic model. Models were validated against in-vitro data from the ovine thoracic descending aorta and the carotid artery. Measurements of blood pressure data were used as an input to predict ves...
متن کاملWall-layer Models for Large-eddy Simulations
■ Abstract Because the cost of large-eddy simulations (LES) of wall-bounded flows that resolve all the important eddies depends strongly on the Reynolds number, methods to bypass the wall layer are required to perform high-Reynolds-number LES at a reasonable cost. In this paper the available methodologies are reviewed, and their ranges of applicability are highlighted. Various unresolved issues...
